Agent Working with an Appraiser

You made the right decision! Also, what Buyers and Sellers do not understand is, an agent could make the appraisal go in the wrong direction when you get involved...the standard appraisal reply is: they could use another home and yours will go down in value...they gotcha no matter what.
|LM says: Linda, I agree with you. The biggest thing that was hanging over me was the fact that I did not know what other foreclosures or distressed sales there were in the pipeline. If for some reason another appraisal had to be done there was a real possibility that it could come in lower and make everything worse. |
So here I was with a buyer that was already approved for his loan (a rare commodity these days) but who was using down payment assistance ( so they cannot bring any money to the table). I had already been holding on to this house longer than I wanted so as much as I hated lowering the price if I didn't it could turn out to lower my price even further eventually.
Such are the lessons learned int this business...
